Tour info

Where do we begin, to tell the story of how great Hong Kong movies can be? What about with a walk-and-ride experience?

With Movie Tram, audiences will be taking a stroll on the streets and hopping onto a tram for a delightful journey through film history. During the guided tour of different filming locations in Central & Western District, we will discover historical and cultural gems and how they have changed through the times. We will also get on the thematic tram with film specialists, sharing behind-the-scenes stories and inspirations for cinematic creativity. Ding! Ding! All aboard!

Movie Tram is one of the programmes under the Hong Kong Pop Culture Festival 2023 presented by the Leisure and Cultural Services Department (LCSD). Walk In Hong Kong (WIHK) is the Collaborative Organisation of this programme.

Important notes for participants

Before ticket purchase

Maximum 4 tickets per each session per transaction.
Discount:
- Full-time Students / Senior Citizens Aged 60 or Above / People with Disabilities & the Minder* (50% off)
- Comprehensive Social Security Assistance Recipients (50% off, with quota)

* For purchase of each concessionary ticket for people with disabilities, the customer can purchase one ticket of same concession for a minder.

When joining the event

Tour participants are strongly advised to arrive at meeting point punctually. Latecomers will not be admitted.
Each ticket admits one person only. After boarding the tram, participants should be seated on the deck specified on the ticket. Switching between the two decks are not allowed.
Children aged under 12 must be accompanied by adults. One ticket required for each person regardless of age.
This tour is not suitable for wheelchair users. Please reach the presenter at 5511 4839 for further enquiries.
Photography and filming will be taken during some of the tours. Photos and videos taken will be used for documentary and publicity purposes, and may also be displayed in venues under LCSD or other related platforms.

Inclement weather policy

The tour will be cancelled in the event a Tropical Cyclone Signal No. 8 or above, or a Red or Black Rainstorm Warning Signal, is issued within 3 hours prior to the scheduled start time of the tour.
The tour will end immediately in the event a Tropical Cyclone Signal No. 8 or above, or a Red or Black Rainstorm Warning Signal, is issued during the tour.
We reserve the right to cancel the tour due to other bad weather conditions, in which case we will announce on our website no later than 2.5 hours prior to the scheduled start time of the tour, and notify the participants who have leave their contacts directly.
